Meet Our Team
Founded by Daniel Meister, HIT Solutions and Consulting, LLC offers a variety of leadership, organizational and safety and security services.
Founder
Daniel Meister is a professional law enforcement leader with over 31 years of leadership and organizational development experience in municipal public safety.
He started his leadership journey when he joined the U.S. Army in 1987. Daniel was a trainer and drill sergeant in the Army Reserve. He was twice awarded the Army Achievement Medal for his ability to create effective training teams and curriculum.
He started his law enforcement career as an officer with the Milwaukee Police Department. He worked general patrol, street crimes and drug interdiction. He was promoted to sergeant and served as a patrol supervisor. Before leaving the MPD, he was promoted to lieutenant and commanded a busy police district shift.
He served as the Captain and Acting Chief in the City of Pewaukee Police Dept. from 2006 to 2010.
In 2010 he became the Chief of Police for the Columbus, WI. Police Dept. It was there that he concentrated on further developing his leadership skills by establishing effective police / community partnerships in a small community.
In 2018 he became the Chief of Police for the Fox Valley Metro Police Department. Since serving in this unique role of proving law enforcement services to multiple communities, He has worked successfully to create new programs that that make the department more effective and and overall, enhance the quality of life in the communities.
Daniel is retiring from law enforcement at the end of June. He is excited to focus on this new chapter in his life which is the culmination of his personal and professional experience.
